Our “9-Step Home Building Process” was designed to keep you completely informed along the way. Our process includes regular meetings, scheduled on-site inspections, pre-closing orientation and follow-up warranty. We will even give you access to a special webpage that will allow you and your family/friends to view progress photos of your home during construction.

“Our 9-Step Process”

Step #1: Planning Meeting

The foundation to a successful home building relationship is good communication and a clear understanding of the home building process. We beginning with a meeting to review the process and introduce you to the construction team assigned to your new home.

During this phase three things happen:

• Loan Pre-qualification.
• Lot Selection. (If you already have a lot, that’s great. If you don’t we can assist you in finding the perfect home site).
• Home Design. Let us create the home of your dreams. We offer several in-house designs and have access to 1,000’s of plans that you can browse through at your leisure. If you already have plans, we will work with you and your architect to make your dreams a reality.

Step #2: Pre-Construction Meeting

One of the advantages of building a new home is selecting the finishes and upgrades that are just right for you and your family. You’ll be able to personalize your home with an impressive selection of options including custom millwork, cabinetry, flooring, lighting, decorative hardware, appliances and much more.

You choose the level of luxury.

When all the paperwork is complete we will apply for and obtain all necessary building permits.

Step #3: Construction Begins

Watching your new home come to life is one of the most exciting parts of the home building process.

Using the best products in the industry, your new home will be built to your exact specifications by some of the area’s finest craftsmen.

Step #4: Quality Assurance Inspection #1 (Framing)

After Framing is complete we will schedule a guided tour of your new home. At this time we will determine the placement of phone and cable/internet jacks as well as recessed lighting and other options.

During your tour we will point out the features that set our homes apart and contribute to the beauty, strength and durability of a home built by Connecticut Home Builders.

Step #5: Quality Assurance Inspection #2 (Rough Mechanicals)

Before insulation and drywall installation, we will schedule another guided tour to inspect the inner workings of your home including the heating, plumbing and electrical systems.

At this time we will view the quality features of your new home and verify the optional features you selected. Building a new home is very exciting time in your life. Feel free to bring along family members and close friends.

Step #6: Pre-Closing Walk-Through and rientation

Prior to the pre-closing walk-through and orientation, your home is thoroughly inspected and cleaned.

Your Connecticut Home Builders representative will take you on a guided room-by-room tour to demonstrate the quality features of your new home. In addition, we will explain our service and warranty procedures.

Step #7: 30 Day Customer Satisfaction Follow-Up

Once you’ve had a chance to get settled in your new home, we will contact you to ensure your total customer satisfaction. If there are any items that need adjustment or correction we will schedule a service call at your convenience.

Step#8: 90 Day Customer Satisfaction Follow-Up

Our commitment to total customer satisfaction doesn’t end when you purchase your new home. At 90 days we will schedule a customer service inspection to ensure your continued satisfaction.

Step #9: 12 Month Customer Satisfaction Follow-Up
Before your 1st year anniversary, we will schedule a service call to make any final adjustments and handle any required warranty work. At Connecticut Home Builders we are always available to answer questions and provide the best quality service in the industry.
